Sky, I realize you are entitled to your belief that demons do not exist, I can respect you believe differently. However that was not my question was it? My question was not whether or not demons exist (for I know they do). My questions were different things regarding the entities, asked to religious members here. I do respect that you believe differently. But this is the Christianty section, my questions were asked to those who do believe, and I understand where Jeremy and Neil are coming from as I have had experiences like they have as well. Perhaps you should consider our beliefs deserve respect as well.

AB- I apologize as I have yet to read your whole post. My connection here has been iffy due to the snow. I do intend to give it a proper read within the next couple days here.

Hello! I am new to the forums and was perusing the Christian posts when I stumbled upon your questions. I’ll make an attempt at giving, at least a personal answer. My statements should not be taken as a typical representation of any particular Christian understanding of doctrine.

I’m unaware of any direct correlation between tarot and the demonic. However, there is a verse in the Bible mentioning some of these things and it may shed some light on a Christian’s perspective to such activities.

“When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
Deuteronomy 18:9-12 KJV

2. I have to make the disclaimer for this question, that in no way can I (or would I) speak for any Christian. I can speak for myself only. That being said, I believe there are things of which a complete understanding eludes most people. Do demons exist? Possibly. Do they appear as physical manifestations? I doubt so, but am in no particular place of authority on that.

3. Names? If one follows the line of thinking that demons are fallen angels, knowing that angelic representatives are mentioned in biblical text, and those beings had names; it would follow that demons have names as well.

Tarot, divination, demons, and the like have not been a large part of my study. I will do a little more reading on these things since I obviously know so little about them and how they interact with my own position within my faith.

I think you have misunderstood my postings, as have others, but that's ok.
You create your own reality through your thoughts, if you believe in demons then they exist, if you don't believe in demons then they don't exist, you become what you think... This is what I am trying to explain and point to......

Yes and I do understand what it is you are saying sky, and I appreciate it, and the thought.

Only it is different being me and having been possessed, enough so to start speaking a language I have never spoken. My friend was there speaking the same language at me having been possessed first. We both witnessed each other's eyes being a solid black during it.

So, I am not under the impression it was our minds that had done this. We were before the happening happy to see each other and engaging in a nice conversation.

So it existed in spite of us.

However thinking changes everything yes Sky. And that is exactly why I talked my friend through his possession by realizing my friend was very still aware, and so I spoke to him with love, and hugged him and held him, and told him even if he struck me that I would know it would have not been him who had done it, and he did the same for myself.

So I agree with your statement in that yes what we think matters very much so for something.

But neither I nor my friend thought this thing which possessed us into being, but we did think enough to fight it off with love.

I truly consider those of you who have not experienced such things as that experience, my very real experience lucky. Becuase that you don't hold to the belief that demons do not exist, is perhaps one reason you may never experience such that I or others here have. Truth be told I hope you never do. It isn't pleasant, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

But I have seen things that could only be explained as demons my very self, with my very eyes. And to tell myself it didn't happen or that my mind was playing tricks on me, would make me a liar. I would be lying to myself. And while I respect your right to disagree, I will not lie to myself.

But you are right, we do create our reality with our thoughts, but my friend and I did not create our own possession... our thoughts were far from something like that. But we did create our ability to overcome it, by thinking and feeling love.
