Thanks for your company Miss H.

Thanks also for your greetings David.

Sidestepping religious or spiritual considerations and (religious or spiritual) analysis.

Hope that is clearer. Cheers.

Reading beyond ch 18 v 36 to ch 19 v 23 painted pictures and produced feelings concerning this encounter which feel strong--and so recorded. Appreciate not all will agree.

Weareunity,

Thanks for bringing attention to this. In regards to John 18:36-19.23, I am drawn to these verses:
V. 37…..”Jesus answered…I am a king……”
19:7….”we have a law, and according to that law he must die”…..’the law brings death’(from other scriptures). That is the out for Jews…..it was the law that killed Jesus. They accepted the authority of the man made law.
19:22….”Pilate…what I have written….” Pilate asserted his authority and no one dared remove the sign. He had found no fault in Jesus and, for me, in essence(after the mention of truth) was recognizing the truth of Jesus.

I remember reading somewhere about the portrayal of him having a 'soft side' was simply the version given by the writer of those books in the New Testament, but in reality, he was more like the person who had the meltdown with the money changers at the temple.

I dunno though. If such a person existed, then I think his mission was to teach compassion and unconditional love and to help your fellow man whenever and where ever you could. And that each of us has a divine spark that unites us all and that when we can access that spark, mankind is the better for it.

Traveler,

Would you say that anyone that has a meltdown does not have a divine spark ?
