Unhappy My dear feline companion of almost 16 years.

My childhood, teenhood and adulthood companion had passed yesterday...
I had her in my life since the day she was born. I was only nine years old.
It may seem silly, but she was closer to me than most people ever cared to come.
How can I get over the loss?

Nothing so pure as an animal's love, and they become one of the family, so yes I can well understand your sorrow.
My heart goes out to you.

Your beloved cat is still alive in spirit though, on the Other Side. Take heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. What a huge stone.

You get over the loss, one day at a time.

Sorry for your loss, mayfeather. Your dear cat will always be in your heart, which must be hurting terribly right now. Just know that where she is now, she is happy and at peace.

I'm sorry...I know how cats can be...I loved my two that I had to give away b/c of a move...They are in a good place and that makes me feel much better.

Yours is in a good place too! I hope after a while you'll be able to rescue a needy kitty...

I am so sorry for your lost.

My first and only pet was a cat. I loved him so much. One day at a time, it will get better. She has a special place in your heart forever.
