Revenge is sweet, so they say, but sooner or later we will all sit down to a Banquet of consequences. I don't believe it has anything to do with God allowing or not allowing, cause and effect makes sense to me.

Hello all.

Thinking a little more concerning "revenge"---If there are cultures within which "getting even" is considered as being a necessary component of an "honour" code, then the prospect of forgiveness happening seems greatly reduced. ??. What seems more likely to be the result is an ongoing perpetuation of division. ??

As we know from history past and present, division itself presents opportunities which can/are exploited, so further perpetuating divisions which would at least stand a chance of being dispassionately yet compassionately understood and resolved if such divisions/differences were not being exploited.

This is correct as well as incorrect

division and conflict can propel us forward, unless we as an individual or group or nation get stuck in a vortex like energy field. Then, unless someone comes from the outside, and releases you or the group or the nation, you might be stuck for a very long time, and hinder the rest from moving forward.
Simple group vortices can be opened by one person, it becomes more difficult and traumatic when a nation or several nations are stuck in a solid vortex like structure. Will not name names, it could be misinterpreted as moving into politics, which is strictly forbidden.
Opening those often takes a greater conflict from the outside.

Hello Rah nam .

Thanks for adding your thoughts and viewpoint to this exploration.

Exploring further and thinking that the exploitation of division and differences is and has been so widespread that the finger might never stop pointing--and also faces the dilemma that a pointing finger may itself be divisive.??

Better perhaps to simply acknowledge that such behaviour happens and has consequences. Better perhaps to understand the why and the how and through such understanding to stand as independently as we each find possible.

Perhaps this is a conflict which we face, though not some external battle, but internal, and though individually, not actually alone, but together. For all--literally--are one and suffer when not real--ising this. Imo.
