What does fibro mean spiritually??

hey guys

i have been doing a bit of research into fibromyalgia and what it means in terms of spirituality

ive had it for a fews years now and its quite painful

it causes all sorts of clicks and cracks all over my body and i remember when i was in hospital and my sternum cracked and another guy in there said i just had a 'kundalini' awakening which i thought was interesting

the only thing that has helped with the pain was an anti-depressant effexor

what do you reckon it means spiritually? is it a symptom of a spiritual awakening?

Fibromyalgia is fear showing up as extreme tension due to stress.

As you spirit remains locked in fear or under stress for lengthy periods the body will begin to show the physical manifestations of the underlying emotional issues..if it resonates then perhaps you may look at finding new treatments that work at the emotional level.

I hope your find some relief...it does sound quite debilitating over the long term.

Nah, it's not that. Though fibro pain can certainly stress you out and make you vulnerable to fear-inducing events, and very tense. That's the effect, not the cause, so it's understandable doctors would get confused. It's also incredibly annoying to hear doctors say you are having an episode because you are under stress -- when you very well know you were NOT under stress when the pain flared; the pain is causing the stress.

How do I know? I have had fibro for decades. I can assure you that I have had flares even when my life has no tension or stress or fear or anxiety to speak of.

The only rhyme or reason I have been able to discern, over all these years, is that an episode is usually triggered by a (relatively minor) injury. Maybe I pull my back out, or twist my ankle, or something like that. Long after the injury is healed, my brain is still firing pain signals. It gets stuck in a loop. Similar to phantom limb pain. The pain of course is very real -- but the source of the pain is long gone. This is why antidepressants seem to have an effect, but I've also had great success with mirror therapy and fibro massage. Both of these things trick the brain back to "normal."

As one seeks the Divine the EGO becomes inflamed and so it is what feels the fear and strikes the body in order to distract the consciousness.


USE IT! Use this pain to burn up EGO instead of allowing EGO its dementia to spread into the consciousness!

Why does it have to be spiritual? I don't really believe in all these spiritual awakening symptoms and all that...I guess I should hush...

But I'm not. Someone posted about leading up to a certain date people would have leg pains, and dizziness and other issues... I scoffed to myself, but then I thought maybe that's what is causing my legs to hurt really really bad lately and I had been having dizziness and some other things. Well, the 'big day' arrived and went and I still feel the same and I don't attribute it to any spiritual awakening.

I've had many spiritual experiences in my life, from child to present, but I don't think I've had to go through some 'awakening' to be able to experience them.

i disagree with louise hay's statement too. also it's not to do withy awakening either imo. illness can be perceived as a spiritual lesson though and also a physical, emotionasl and psychological one too. chronic (long term) illness may occur when the body has lost some of it's innate intelligence. i know some people who have lost or healed their symptons of fibro purely through diet and enviroment, not that all can just by that alone, but it shows that outward changes can bring affect regardless of the changing of one's thinking or feeling. my guess is that it's partly a combination of nerves shorting out in acidic tissues and pressure on the spinal chord.

Fibro = muscle; Myalgia = pain.
I think Fibro spiritually has to do with mental activity and thought patterns....in other words so you think, so you become. Muscles hold conflict, past memories and traumas in the body...they absorb and respond to tensions as well as feelings. Very painful areas of FM are often found at or near where muscle attaches to bone.

I'm not sure about a spiritual awakening but alot of people who do have fibromyalgia are very sensitive to environmental and astral energies.

It's actually not the muscles; it's the myofascia. Okay technically that is part of the muscular system. It was explained to me that myofascia is like a suit that holds your whole body together. Fibromylgia is like the suit, a wool suit, being shrunk in the wash, and trying to wear it anyway. You then lack flexibility in this too-tight-suit, which can cause even the slightest movement to create pain, and injury (including tears in the deeper muscles).
