Sparrow's answer will be a lot better than mine. But please don't be harsh on him, as he is not here as often as some of us.
But my feeling about this is that someone who chooses to quit living while their physical body/plus personality is still viable and they could use them as vehicles to learn things on this Earth (which is the reason they came here)....is in a very different position than someone who is terminally-ill for example, and decides to take the final days or weeks of terrible suffering away. -Or even for unselfish reasons -to release loved ones from constant vigil and worry....
Both deeds will have meanings. Beyond what I can imagine or project. Meanings to the Spirit of that person.

Mine tells me that there is indeed a huge difference between someone desperate and miserable (which is usually, but not always entitrely, a situation of their own making) who wants to escape, and someone who is "exercising their right to move on". I already posted about my individual experience , and my feeling is that at some point, I might determine that it's time to move on, and if it feels right , I'll do just that . There won't be punishment, or suffering because of that choice. It will be a choice made in awareness of Spirit and a continuation of connection with Spirit . That me (Spirit) already exists outside of time; before , during , and after my physical life and death . I see it as the next phase of expansion , however it comes to pass.

Now, what does your Spirit tell YOU about it?

I am someone who believes that an afterlife is more likely then not and who believes those who die should sooner or later have their wants and needs fulfilled and those who commit suicide should not have a harder time then those who die under other circumstances save for those who spent their lives causing nothing but pain. To those around them and even those people should be forgiven

Well, there you go. Sooner or later the desires to move to higher vibrations will win over any residual nagativity from life, but what I also gathered from Sparrow's previous posts is that if one carries negativity over into afterlife it remains there to be resolved, and that suicide in a desperate state will (or can) cause a more than normal amount of residual negativity that the soul still has to work out, which would (probably?) have been easier to do while still living , with the operative situations still at hand in a readily (possibly more straightforwardly?) state) .

Or something like that ...

PS : I'm also interested in this question, so I would love to hear elaborations from the winged one, should he be so inclined , and find time from his busy not-a-schedule in the other dimensions

PSS : do be nice to Sparrow; few have given of themselves as he has .
a more generous Spirit you might never encounter in this life.

There is no "harder time" doled out by God to anyone. God is the final arbiter and that Awareness does not have moral judgments. You operate in a motion machine with ultimate creation and understanding. Be free, go where you want, create what you want, exist as you want. You do not run the show, you run YOUR show. The love you take is equal to the love you make. (Lennon/McCartney)

I like that; short and sweet.

"The Universe rearranges itself to accomodate your pictures of reality"

You didn't make the Universe or program it to work that way ,
but you are it , working that way .

"To us, this automatically implies a co-creative relationship. This means that everyone is simultaneously rearranging themselves to accomodate everyone else's pictures of reality. In other words, it means that from your
perception , we somehow symbolize and act out some part of your picture of reality, and vice versa. That means that from every individual's unique perception, everyone else around them is simply the Universe rearranging itself. So we always get to play both parts equally; the servant and the served"

Sparrow says to believe in your 'heart wisdom'. I think that is apropos to your question, ask.

I can't believe you demanded to be answered, ask. That is not a good way of communicating.

I feel lucky to be reading any of his words..and even more so, being answered.... at any point.

So please, cool your jets.

I guess "naturally bad" is not a very accurate term to use. Let's just say that I'm an inexperienced beginner when it comes to moving my thoughts to a higher state of understanding.

How? I think I am generally open to experiencing supernatural phenomena, particularly by meditating frequently. However, it can be somewhat discouraging when nothing happens despite my most honest attempts to explore my non-physical nature.

Despite my best efforts, I hear nothing.

I have tried meditating at night. I have tried meditating in the morning. I have tried meditating in the afternoon. I have tried putting on ear plugs to prevent any possible distractions. Even in total silence, after having cleared out my thoughts, all I hear is nothing except total silence.

This does not mean that I reject the notion of my non-physical nature, for despite not having seen or experienced anything, I am still waiting patiently on the proverbial fence of observation.

If I had doubts about Prime Creator's existence, I would not have tried to communicate with me, us, and you. What other barriers might there possibly be?

What they experience in this state is relative to what they are thinking about in this state at the time, for their thoughts transport them to whatever they are thinking about and that becomes their primary focus. After you have just left your physical body and discovered you have died the last thing your thoughts will be focusing on are a display of mundane images left upon shelving. Many are drawn immediately to their own physical form below and the activities of personal association, of intention and of emotion.

I agree. Without knowing exactly how the spiritual world functions, it is difficult to investigate it properly. Without experiencing the spiritual dimensions firsthand, a scientist is left with no other choice but to rely on the experiences of his physical body when devising a suitable methodology for the investigation of supernatural phenomena.

You may be able to access higher sources of information whenever you want, but I can't do that at the moment. Neither can Dr. Sam Parnia and the rest of the scientific community.

Many of these awful activities have also been done by human beings throughout the course of human history, unfortunately. I am disgusted by that, but I really am not surprised to learn that others are doing it as well. I hope there's a compassionate being out there who is powerful enough to put an end to these activities once and for all.
