As an Orthodox Jew (gosh i detest that label) err Hebrew a better descriptor as my Tribe is Benyamin :) ..grew up with Hebrew as a written and spoken in prayer language ....

I am learning Hebrew too. I can read Hebrew, but need help understanding the language. Maybe we can join forces and learn together???

I know modern hebrew as well :) I do have beginner material from ulpan and also advanced from the academy. But i suggest you better to go to ask at your local synagogue for hebrew class, some do give lessons.

I'm considering learning it for Kabbalah but I imagine it's a very difficult task. I have learned besides own language two more from different groups so perhaps there's a chance. Not getting any younger though...

Well, if you anticipate reading the Zohar in its original language, Hebrew is not going to help much.

You'll need to learn Aramaic.

You are correct of course. But I would find use of Hebrew to understand lectures of Rav Laitman in original language without translation.

I hope I'll be able to start learning Theology and Religion in university this year, they should teach Hebrew and Aramaic courses there as far as I know.
