Unfortunately your words did not make a deep impact with me - did not sync with me so to speak.
I think all paths are valid and can lead the practitioner to the goal. Lol, I think every religion and spiritual practice says its the best and superior one. More so I think it's to suit the many different types of men, there are likewise many paths.

For me, the Tao hits some deep place inside. It's like I've always practiced Tao without ever knowing about it till last July. And what a blessed time it was.

Tao is said to be like water. It is content with even the lowest places.
It is based on an idea of really accepting things as they are IMO... That's very crude explanation.
I think the fire you are mentioning is more of a passionate intense motivation to will certain states in my understanding? The Taoist rather is content with whatever happens.

What do you think?

I believe the major and minor mainstream religions have been purposefully steered away from their original intent and meaning to hide and cover up the truth that the Ancient Wisdom Traditions and Mystery Schools held.

I think that while Taoism is apparently one of the least affected by this conspiracy, it still too has been moved away from what it was really saying.

Yet the truth is the truth on many different levels, and that's why we can still see the powerful wisdom of the words in the Tao Te Ching.

Conscious breathing is necessary to wake up the breathing-system.
Do it for long enough and it becomes entirely unconscious, being replaced with the consciousness of being-breathed.
