the guru i have experinced can help make the transition much smoother. i couldnt agree more. if nothing is happenng yes something can still be happening. i agree but i wouldn't look at that as how it is always. most often i experience that with a teacher if im feeling nothing its because not much is happening. the teachers with a lot of power you will feel without question in my experiences. others to whom i have known on my journey. its really not uncommmon in the least to feel some pains as the chakras especially where one is weak become stretched out.

the joke at an ashram i was once at is so and so slept through the whole thing and got it. and they did. the power can put someone to sleep as it works through the system. there is some adjusting as the process unfolds. from extreme bliss to extreme sleep. some people have a lot of shakti(feminine, current, bliss). some have a lot of shiva(masculine, silence). silence puts one to sleep. bliss brings one to joy. the student may have more bliss or more silence that they open up to. its really unique in ways from teacher to teacher and student to student.

as i have mentioned before i am predominantly feminine and silence comes to me from her. i can lean his way but she is more accessible and more to my liking. but one brings the other.

anyways im just adding my thoughts and experiences to the topic.
