Book1 founding of hypnosis

i just read a book on the founding of hypnosis and who would've thought that hudennies trick of the coffin under water for hr and half would have been due to self hypnosis and the focus of his breathing to keep him in the state of mind to preserve his oxygen.

He kinda took the methods from others . Yoga masters that can slow down there breathing . I think modern hypnosis goes back to S. Freaud , and Carl Jung . By the way Hudennie name was Eric Wise .

Freud and Jung were over 100 years later...
