I have heard in a wildlife documentary that ants operate as one organisim, similar to the human body or human brain, with each cell like an ant in the colony or ant organisim. Supposedly they function as one, so they communicate I a similar way which our cells communicate with each other.
Ants can co ordinate their efforts in this way to build ant bridges (bridges made of ants) to get across wide gaps so that every individual ant in the colony may make it to the other side of the gap as one unit.

Having issues with ants myself. I clean them away with paper towels. I have thoughts of getting spray, doing extermination... But something holds me back. I don't know... Sometimes I think I'm too much of a bleeding heart.
Perhaps I should try the honey trick.
I guess in a way they motivate me to practice cleanliness, wipe up spills, don't leave food exposed, take my rubbish out and separate food waste from recyclable goods.
I think it's uncle Beezlebub, lord of the flies sending ants to teach me these lessons. Reminding me if I don't sort my **** out, I'm going to get sick.
(Beezlebub is part of my Venus family). 0

I solved my problem with this: they are often looking for food. Sugar is a great source of food for them. and the best part is that you can put a small spoon of sugar anywhere you decide they won't be a problem!
I selected a place for them in the garden. In that place I placed a teaspoon of sugar. It took some time and several teaspoons as the garden gets rained on and stuff; but they slowly discovered the sugar and moved their ant doors to that area.
