Destiny/Pre-planned Life

Whilst I was watching premonition it covered an interesting topic on destiny.

Destiny is always something I have thought about and been very interested in but how does it work.

I have always hated the fact that my life has been planned I am very much like a robot going about everyday life but have no control over what happens.

This is the view of some that our book is written and we can not change or alter what is to come it is written and is solid and that is that.

I hate this theory I'm not of course saying it's not true I am simply saying that my heart body and soul does not like this and my inner being simply tells me this is not the case.

I am more swayed to the other view.

Which is that we do have a destiny but we don't it's very complex.

It's like a deck of cards being handed out there are several possibilities our life plays out every possibility from the actions we choose to take and depending on the actions we choose that path is played out.

So it's like there are a million different books of our lives and each option we make takes a chapter out of one book and adds it to another so in theory we're writing our own book.

This attracts me and I feel it is more like this.

Premonitions tell me that there must be a future that is planned but the whole purpose of a premonition is to try and change alter or warn others of what is going to happen.

What are your thoughts on destiny?

Rick

That's an interesting topic,

If you have ever seen the film 'Sliding Doors', that is kind of the way I believe life to be. Each decision you take can have differing outcomes for your whole life, depending on what you have decided.

I am interested in chaos theory, which I also believe. Even very small decisions can have big consequences further down the line.

As probablities go, I think it's highly unlikely that your life is already pre - determined.

Well, here is perhaps something to consider.

If our souls are freewill in nature, then first you would have to choose to be born. Then you as a soul choose your parents to get you here. Then you choose with guidance on trajectory to move your forward on earth. You have made a goal, but the clincher is, you won't remember it when you get to earth on a conscious level. Then when you get here, you are on a whole new set of choices to make which are your own.

So do you have something pre-planned, maybe not necessarily pre-planned but more like made a guideline of what you would like to see happen in your life. But of course, you have choices when you get here without any memory of that plan you mapped out for yourself. However, maybe you are following your guideline unconciously as you make choices in this life.

So I think you get freewill two fold really, you choose and lay out guidelines for your life. but when your born you are presented with choices that are your own. I personally think you can change your own destiny by your own choices. I don't think its all predetermined on a damned if you do or damned if you don't type scenario.

Oooh I like this topic

I like to think of it as a business plan, for anyone who has run a business will tell you that the biggest joke about business is a business plan because it never turns out as you predict. I have been in business and it was the right thing for me to do at the time but the endings of that stage of my life ended naturally for now at least.

But when you right a business plan (I am sorry to go all corperate here... I hate corporate ) you asses the market conditions and your current ability to offer to the market/community lets just say client base (ouch more corporate (Shudders)) the goods or services you are going to provide, so you research the enviroment you want to go into. But then you have to research yourself as well through means of a swot analysis which is basically your strengths weaknesses oppertunities and threats. Essentially you map out cirtain goals and criteria for a cirtain time frame which sets you up for when your business starts trading.

Now your overall intent would probably stay reasonably constant throughout the lifespan of that business which is basically to make money. But the barriers and pitfalls are different, some you can predict some you cant. But if you work enough at it and it is the right thing for you, you will get there in the end. Looking back on my time running a business I can now see several other oppertunities which I could have taken at the time but didnt because I am now looking back with perfect vision so to speak.

So think of it then as before you come to earth you asses your enviroment, what position are you in to offer to something to humanity as a whole (as I believe we all do, even if it is something seemingly insignificant) and what is the best place to be in for you to achieve your life goals. Hence you choose your parents etc.

Now as you travel through there are oppertunities for you to grow and learn throughout, if you are supposed to meet someone and achieve something, for example a spouse, business partner, friend whatever and you miss that oppertunity, it will come round again, and again. Have you ever noticed in life those situations that are always there and you cannot seem to get rid of them until you have done something about it.

Essentially then, the life plan is not fixed, its flexible.

I like to think of it like the doctor who theory of time (Yeah Im a sci fi nerd too lol) where time is in constant flux, you can travel back to 1982 for example and monsters from space can invade and the world can end there and then. (Hence the reason for the doctor being there to save the earth again) but there are some instances he cannot do anything because those events have to happen because there is a rippling effect through time and space, for example if he finds someone is going to die, but that death will inspire someone to create the first manned mission to mars for example. Then he cant to anything about it.

So in general, the human existence then on earth is in flux and anything can happen. But there are those events that have to happen for you to move forward perhaps. If you dont meet that spouse, business partner, friend, there are certain goals you cant achieve. But the moment is not set. For example if I miss oppertunity number one then oppertunity number two comes a year later. I think thats where the guidence comes in. But these experiences will feel right, because we have used our free will to plan them in the first place. Something inside kinda clicks and you think Why not? I think we all can relate to that.

One thing I always do when I am looking for something, I am normally a very untidy person but in an organised way. (Gemini trate apparently) is get frustrated when I cannot find something and have looked everywhere except the one place where it supposed to live. Or have put it safe for some reason Its blindingly obvious where it is lol. When I find I have put it away or in that safe place I say outloud "Well done past Jez" example, I have been looking for a newspaper clipping that my father gave me from when I won an award for a series of art works years ago, which he wants back because I have now scanned myself a copy, I finally found it today in with my script that I did for uni, because I know that is one of the things I always keep safe as it is very important to me "Well done past Jez". When we have these fixed events in our lives, we say the same thing in a way because subconciously we know that we wanted them to happen

Right thats enough random thoughts from me for the evening.

Peace Love and Freedom

Jez

from what i ve gleaned from many years of intrest in the subject, we mainly pick the general perameters of our next incarnation, but there is always scope to amend or alter lifes path. For good or ill. Some find for instance, that they ve lost their direction, they probably have. they ve deviated from their pre incarnation plan. but this is part and parcel of the souls learning experience

Everything is interconnected. There are no seperate events and everything happens for a reason. Its all a part of the whole. So therefor I cant see how we have a freewill. The only thing we might have control over is how concious we are at this moment. And depending on that, our decisions may change. I dont think our human brains can understand this anyway.

Interesting topic and one I have pondered many times.

From what I have read it seems that we do choose a lot of things about our life before we incarnate, eg, our parents, our country, etc. There is even some that believe we choose our life partners and children beforehand also. From there I believe we also have free will so when we are down here we can choose some of the direction that our lives will take.

I think sometimes the paths that we choose beforehand are the ones that open up easily, it just seems natural to take a certain job or choose a certain partner because it all flows naturally and to some extent is "meant to be". All the doors seem to open to us and it feels right.

I am also open to the belief that possibly we are living multiple lives, eg one life where we took that path and the other where we didn't. In a sense we are experiencing all our different choices. Possibly even living out all our past and future lives simultaneously.

The whole topic is fascinating but I really believe it is a combination of destiny and free will operating together.

Hmm.. after reading the thoughts I began to think about it a bit more. I am now wondering what exactly is destiny? If I work off of the free will thought pattern where before life, you make a guideline (business plan - awesome analogy Jez!) of what you would like to accomplish in this life and then incarnate and start living your life where your choices of whether you are following your plan or not. Then I would conclude that destiny is the ultimate goal you made for yourself while you are incarnated in this life.

I believe it's a combination of both. Like most things: paradox is the name of the game.

I think we have a general course we are meant to travel, or maybe you could call it a goal or destination. -- Destiny

How we get there, directly or meandering, fast or slow or not at all, that's all up to us and our choices. -- Free will

Blessings!
