While Tina Turner is heralded as an R&B and rock icon, her Buddhist faith was the soul that drove her
eventful life and career. She often credited the religion with helping her find the strength to leave her abusive relationship with Ike Turner in 1976.

Tina Turner, known as the Queen of Rock, has practiced Soka Gakkai Nichiren Buddhism since 1973.

Nice life after leaving Ike, good....83, happy. Yay. :)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Luuuuuv the woman! What a legend.

Yep your right Miss H Buddhism certainly got her thru the dark times.

I remember her hit single Mockingbird. One of my favourites! (Even tho it was sang with her as…………e husband). Everyone loved it and it was played everywhere in Liverpool. Actually all her songs were.

Actually I hope she singing and dancing on the otherside and having a fabulous time!

I often wonder how larger-than-life individuals are after they have returned to the world of the spirit. I expect they'll find a level of peace and contentment they might not have experienced as incarnates.

Any prior understanding - whatever one's religion or philosophical bent - of our eternal, spiritual nature will greatly help as we make the transition from dreary physical life to glorious life in spirit. :)

Tina Turner was simply the best! She had humble beginning and took a hard life,
turned it around, and became a world class entertainer. She was beautiful inside
and out.

I will never forget seeing her on stage singing with Mick Jagger, she was kicking
up her legs moving from one end of the stage to another, while Mick stood still and
looked at her with a big grin on his face.

I thank life for letting me be here while she was on the planet.
