Has anyone ever noticed a connection between the Vagus nerve and OBE's?

A couple years ago I had a really bad cold, where I every time I coughed, I coughed so hard it would trigger my vagus nerve and it would send me into a moment of vertigo.
The other day I had a brief nocturnal OBE which was precipitated but the usual rush of energy up the spine and out the head. I realized at that point the rush of energy was very similar to the experience of vertigo from the vagus nerve stimulation.
So putting two and two together, I realize that the vertigo experienced by the stimulation of the nerve could easily be a result of the consciousness becoming briefly dislodged into a near OBE state.
It would require a lot more experimentation to explore this potential connection, so that is why I am asking if anyone here has noticed anything similar.
