very wonderful
" No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock –A lying, sinning forelock.
"[Quran, Sura Al-Alaq 96: 15-16]
The phrase “a nerve of lies and error” in the above verse is very interesting. Research in recent years has revealed that the prefrontal area, responsible for directing particular brain functions, is found in the frontal part of the skull. Scientists have discovered the functions of this area, which the Quran mentioned 1400 years ago, in the last sixty years. Here is what one can read in a book called Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology, covering the results of the latest research on the functions of this zone:
The motivation and foresight to project and initiate movements takes place in the anterior part of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. It is a region associated with the cortex
In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is thought to be the functional center for aggression
This area of the brain is therefore responsible for the projection, motivation and initiation of good and bad behavior, as well as what is true or false.
It is clear that the expression "a nerve of lies and error” " fits perfectly with the above explanations. This fact, discovered by scientists not long ago, has been in the Qur'an for centuries.

The frontal lobes (forehead) are where lying and sinning is believed to come from.
So to be dragged by the forelocks is to be grabbed by that area of the body believed to create the sin and dragged into hell.
So the inter-webs tell me.

That's alright I was just seeing if I could get my frontal lobe working correctly.
I guess I'm due for a tuneup.

This verse was revealed about an infidel of the infidels of Quraysh, Abu Jahl, who was harming Muslims and trying to kill innocents, and he did not stop doing that.
God threatened him in the Qur’an because of his disbelief, arrogance, stubbornness, and harm to people
That he will enter the fire in the hereafter
On the Day of Resurrection, when Abu Jahl and his like will be dragged from the front of the head to Hell.

And yet Hindu gurus say focus on the fontanel as much as you can.
And, we all know they place a tilac on their forehead...many rub Tiger Balm ... anything to help
them focus in that area.
Traditionally, when a person meditates he is taught to focus between the eyebrows or the forehead...
that's sure where I see glorious things almost beyond description...ha, even the Thousand Petaled Lotus Flower!!!!
One thought of seeing it, as in, just a 'Wow'...and poof it was gone. Hahahah, oh well.
''If thine eye be single thy whole body will be full of light.''..Jesus ---Third eye reference.
Funny, odd, others would think that bad things come from the front area....and others revere the area.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Hi
If you allow I have a question .
You yourself say that forelock area of brain is responsible initiation of good or bad behavior . Then how in the next sentence it becomes an expression "a nerve of lies and error" .
I certainly have great respect for Quran and writers of Quran . An ordinary book can not have so much respect for so many over so many centuries .
But just wanted to understand your own logic and the conclusion you draw based on what you wrote.

Although the
the forelock area, which is responsible for leadership, creativity and decisions, and good actions
but
scientists found that the forelock area or the so-called prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is located behind the forehead, is responsible for mistakes made by humans that may lead to crime.
Scientists at Oxford University say that when this area is damaged as a result of a shock, for example, or as a result of addiction to drugs, alcohol and gambling... the ability to make decisions is disturbed and therefore
such a person rushes in his actions and may commit a crime easily..
The forelock is responsible for lying, and today we prove that this forelock is responsible for the error, and therefore this verse (A lying, sinning forelock) contains a scientific miracle that scientists did not reach until recently.
The researchers confirm that any wrong behavior by a person, or any lie practiced by him, … or other wrong actions, lead to damage to the cells of this area, meaning that the forelock area, which is responsible for leadership, creativity and decisions, this area is damaged Over time
This area of the brain is therefore responsible for the projection, motivation and initiation of good and bad behavior, as well as what is true or false
Therefore, the Qur’an is never wrong, because it is from God scientifically accurate
There are scientific miracles in the Qur’an from 1400 years ago
And scholars have discovered it throughout the ages in the Qur’an, so they believe in the one God
all prophets believe in the one God Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them see here
