Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Why would you cut a roast beef sandwich in a maladaptive way and then serve it. Maladaptive means "not providing adequate or appropriate adjustment to the situation". If you don't make the sandwich in an appropriate way it won't be very good - don't you think?
