It is not your intention to be humiliating. Any negative emotion generated is stemming from the other person's immaturity and needing to mature. Not being confronting of other's immaturity is an implicit acceptance and approval of it. This is called "enabling". You are also doing more harm to the other person by letting them continue to indulge in immature behavior. Damaging the environment also damages the soul by perpetuating abuse.
