When I first encountered the piece I own, my reaction was similar. I felt compelled to buy it, and managed to scavenge enough money from around the house (since I was a jobless teen) to get it. And although what few few specks of orange crystals it had have fallen off and now reside at the bottom of a tiny bottle pendant, I can't bring myself to throw away the mostly crystal-less main stone. Few crystals I've had in my extensive collection have had such a curious sense of independent, actual personality and life to them. I haven't been able to pin down what it gives off other than a soothing energy, but it definitely has something going on.
