I have not read that, but I have read Steven Forrest's "The Book of the Moon: Discovering Astrology's Lost Dimension" which references lunar cycles in the natal chart.
I have reviewed various things for the moon, like how the parallax moon is a more accurate calculation for the natal moon based on your position on the crust of the Earth (since the other locations are calculated from the center of the Earth) but I could never make the parallax Lunar Return charts predict monthly events as well as the non-parallax moon...
