Undetected story.
Harpoons
Fling through the
Midnight sky,
Improvised missiles.
The red button
Was pressed two seconds
Before midnight.
It was a misfire though
The show fell on
Closed eyes.
Peace remained alive
In the hearts of those
Who were sleeping.
In a room
A safety switch was flicked
To the off position.
And the energy shut off
But not before the wires frayed
So now the unusual programming
will be delayed.
"do not operate"
Says a makeshift sticker...
Faulty goods -
"Ill aligned ticker".
A dove was released
Misfired peace...
At two seconds to midnight
It flew to the west when
It was supposed to fly east
It's path
Narrowly missed
By a descending misile.
These two events seemingly
Unconnected,
Narrowly missing paths...
Both flying through the night
Undetected...
Underneath the stars.
