I recommend praying for protection or having some spiritual "shield" with you at all times. With something like this, it is easy to run into some nasty things while recording in certain situations or areas. State your intentions loud and clear (no whispering). When you finish, tell the entities present to not follow you home. Simple, yet incredibly helpful.
