I love this thread where you have tracked your journey with your brain condition. People promise the world but can't deliver when it comes to mental illness.

Society and doctors want to band-aid the condition regardless of the quality of life of that individual.

It's as with all struggles we have.

The child who is molested while growing up
The person who'se skin burned over most of their body in a severe fire
The mentally retarded (sorry if there is a gentler term)
The disfigured
The person who has severe life-threatening allergies

We are all living in our own subcultures, struggling to fit into a society that demands that we be just like them. Whole and perfect. And even most of them are faking it.

Sometimes we have struggles and disabilities because it's the lesson we need to learn. The struggle is the vehicle and the door to understanding and knowledge and wisdom. Sometimes we just have to accept ourselves for the way we are, right now, right where we are.
