I liked this. IMO your observations are being unfairly dismissed. Personally I see a synonymous correlation between 'understanding' and 'open-mindedness'. Thus one could assert that being open-minded is a(the) key to love. Being open-minded presumes the absence of blinders. The most typical 'blinders' are pre-conceived notions, prejudices, and the ego among others. Every one of these aforementioned serve as impediments to love. Do not let others discourage you from sharing your thoughts.
