That being said, let me add that I think there are different 'ways' to 'heaven'. In the case of 'yoga' which means
union (presumably with
That Which Is All That Is) for example, there's the 'path' of
Hatha (physical breathe and posture) Yoga, the 'path' of
Karma (right action) Yoga, the 'path' of
Bhatkti (adorational devotion) Yoga, the 'path' of
Jnana (comprehensive knowledge) Yoga, etc.
The path (or combination of paths) that's functionally 'best', and therefore 'right', for anyone depends on what best suits his or her personality configuration.
Many see Jesus as having primarily been a
Karma 'Yogi'. Merriam Wesbter's say that the word Yoga has a Sanskrit derivation: "literally, yoking, from
yunakti: he yokes; akin to Latin
jungere to join."
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (
Matthew Ch.11) were Jesus' words relating to this (I think).
