I've taken to calling such a belief the 'span', or 'metaphysical'. Span, because it's endless, boundless, and courses through the span of all existence. Time, space, life, death, so on. It reaches through all things.
But, if you're looking to find a more 'proper' or 'official' term, I'd believe 'metaphysical' would suit well. :)
