Yea, getting rid of the old first certainly makes room for the new to come in...even when it comes to your old clothes Shivani! I wasn't a huge believer in this until I put it into action myself. Especially when it comes to old behaviors and thoughts. It has been said that what we choose to hold onto actually has a greater "hold" or grip on us, keeping us from moving forward.

I spent the past few years being angry and resentful about circumstances that were beyond my control and not from my doing. It really wasn't until the new year that I made a choice to just not let it consume me anymore and not to put my energy and focus on the problem, as I can't change other people or the situation. Instead I can put that energy towards myself and see it all through a different lens...that it's a test and a lesson for me, and unless I choose a different way to respond to it, nothing will change. I definitely feel more free since making that choice at the start of the new year.
