Asking for proof of their existence exhibits doubt of their existence. Usually doesn't do the trick. So I can't really recommend that at all.

Remember that the ability to sense and hear them is something given to all at birth. We are taught here otherwise, which creates the doubt and lack of faith. How can they speak to you if you have those god given gifts shut down through non belief? This is when tarot, angel numbers and paying attention to synchronicity comes into play.

All I could really recommend for you specifically would be to keep a dream log. As a visit to your dreams is a lot easier and more well received than showing up in 3D. But then you could brush it off as manifested dreams and you would still be in the same boat.
