a way of thinking about things that seems sensible/understandable to me is that 'spirit'
is within everything to some degree; everything. whatever we might contemplate or
give a name to will have the quality of 'spirit' within it (it could not exist, even as an
imaginary concept, if it lacked the spiritual component).
maybe the thing to do is to set some parameters of what you're willing to deal with,
and have a boundary line to keep malicious and 'suspicious' entities away.
