I came across Ezekiel 47, particularly where it talks about the boundaries of the land of Judah, and commandments of inhabitants. Ezek 47:15-23.

Along with the extensive boundary of the land that is to be owned as inheritance to the tribes of Israel, it states:

verse 22: "You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who have settled among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. In whatever tribe the alien settles, there you are to give him his inheritance," declares the Sovereign LORD."

Question: at what time were these boundaries and this policy enacted? was it a thing in the past that has come and gone, or a future standing promise from God that things will be or should be that way into the future?
