"A night with the stars" Prof. Brian Cox

BBC 2 Sunday Feb 3rd. [see it on BBC I-Player]

Anyone watch this programme ?
Brian Cox is a good presenter with the enthusiasm of David Attenborough and is excellent in his specialism - Astronomy. However, in this programme, he fell into the trap of trying to explain EVERYTHING in just one hour. By everything, I mean the sum total of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. His practical demonstrations were just about OK, using "celebrities" in a patronising manner. But then the fatal flaws began to creep in. He "bigged-up" the Newtonian viewpoint of Objectivity and Certainty - certainly it is a valid POV but could not resist slipping in various snide comments concerning the Subjective and Uncertainty POV. Bit young to be dogmatic was my thought.
The heading of this thread - Science and Spirituality - says it all. The "truth" will lie in the fusion of the two.
So 100% hard science and 100% soft spirituality are as bad as each other.
Any thoughts ?
