Tao is a word. God is a word. In my understanding, both are 'supposed' to mean the same thing. The Great Unknown, the undefinable Space Between particles, that connects every particle to every other particle, every point in space and time to every other point in space and time. People have just been spending a lot more time trying to define, "put a face" on, God (and not doing such a great job of it imho) a lot more than the Tao. The God that can be explained is not the True God. That's just my opinion.
