Solving Problems

Hello All!

I was wondering how you all go about solving problems?

What works wonders for me is actually going to the root of the demand I have in the moment I see a problem. For example: if someone is doing something I don't like, the demand I have is "they shouldn't be doing that".

I take that belief and question it. I find out if it is true. I explore how I react when I believe it- what it feels like to hold that demand (or belief). Then I can see if it is - in reality - helping me or hurting me.

This is the only way I have found that works: Inquiring into the mind (it is actually the Work of Byron Katie that I'm describing here).

I find that without taking this approach, it is easy for me to resist the "problem" that I see -- and that always enlarges it in my mind.

"The Resistance to the disturbance is the disturbance."
