I'm guessing those could have been the Elohim, who, if you do the research, are the same as the Anunnaki. I'd say they were certainly Sumerian before they were Jewish, but those labels are pretty meaningless anyway. Jews spent a lot of time in Babylonian captivity and a lot of their religious myths and deities are a straight lift from that culture, which dominated the Middle East for thousands of years in any case.
