Welcome to the forum and please forgive me for being a non-intellectual (lay person), but I sorta got half way through your essay and then lost the whole plot.

Perception is a tricky business, when it is taken at the level of a subjective measurement.

For example, if light could ONLY travel as a particle OR a wave and not either/both, which would it be?

Likewise, there are over a million colours in a rainbow and not just seven, and it has been proven that no two people see exactly the same rainbow anyway:

So, some may see the colour green, whereas another may not see it...and both parties will argue that the other is as blind as a bat....that is human nature.

If we would like to go into it further, the colours green, orange, purple etc do not exist outside the primary colours of red, blue and yellow...and if we look at Trinitron pixelation, all colours are produced by a combination of these three, so no other colour except for the primary colours exist in their own right...and yet, they still exist as a combination of those primary colours.

Then, there are the iridescent blues and greens found in peacock feathers, scarab beetles, marine algae etc which are totally colourless under laboratory conditions, but the colour we see is a creation of our own optic process...which is pretty amazing as to how our brains do that.

...and then, there is Octarine...which is like a purplish green...it is the colour of lightning...and the exact colour cannot even be measured on the colour spectrum..

Interesting stuff eh?
