My understanding uses different words, such as true and untrue.
We can be one or the other, truthful or untruthful, nothing in between.
Even a half-truth is an untruth because it is a deception.
In this regard, only truth is pure and real, anything else is not.
Either we are true or not, pure or not, real or not. There is no in-between, only the deception of in-between.
We, as humans are not infallible, and must decide from moment to moment where to come from, with truth/untruth, and where to go to with truth/untruth.
Some say, at the end, our heart (the state of our soul) is weighed on a scale of what is true and what is not.
Catholics believe that the soul goes under purification (purgatory) and only what is true returns to God.
Referring to this thread title, for me, truth is the only order out of a world of kaos.
