Coconut is one of those allergy issues that can be well hidden at times as the oil is in so many foods, even chocolate. Its something that my Son is allergic too but it was a long process of limiting foods and additives to find it. For him it was stomach issues not severe but enough to need attentions. For my husband it brings out hives on his arms and back. He can not touch our Canadian chocolate at all.
Many times a food allergy hides well, but the more you consume the more severe the reactions can become, to the point of hives or even toxic shock.
Not saying its not a good thing, for most it is but like all foods at times its not.
