Sometimes, slight "out of focus with the body" states can induce something a bit like a sense of motion-sickness.
If you are slipping into an alpha state while doing something passive, there are options -of just enjoying it, or of fighting it emotionally, but not really coming back to "grounded".
Being stuck between two states can cause that uneasy motion sickness feeling.

I have sometimes had that when I am very very tired and start to slip into sleep, but at the same time part of my mind wants to wake up (say it happens at a bad time to go to sleep such as in the day or while doing something) Then just as I come round, I get this queer woozy almost-nausea sensation. Like being pulled in two directions at once.

It goes as soon as I make a distinct choice....sleep, or wake up and get grounded.

It has also happened (especially in the past) when going out of body.
I recognised the cause of it was indecision about quite where to locate myself next.
