The beginning of philosophy, or science, or religion is essentially....
....an ITCH that MUST be scratched.....and which can only be satisfied when YOU scratch it....YOUR WAY !!
You seek the impetus within Mankind which has driven us to create philosophies (or religions or sciences) at all.....the insatiable desire to KNOW (not merely to postulate, theorize, "believe", or have faith in..)
....the Truth of Ourselves.
What is the TRUTH OF OURSELVES ??
As indicated in the reference, "Becoming aware of yourself as a spiritual being, offspring of an infinite spiritual system and one with all the powers and capacities within that system, is the very essence of attainment. To grow from the present state of awareness of himself as a material being and into the consciousness that he is a spiritual being contains the full secret of man's attainment.' Man's nature cannot be reversed for he always remains a spiritual being. He can only reverse his notion of himself. Instead of doing this, he should reverse his mistaken idea that he is a material being and retain the truth that he is a spiritual being created in the image and likeness of God."
EXPERIENCING WHAT IS TRUE about Reality is the knowledge we've ALWAYS sought.....not being sidetracked into finding a science to categorize it, or a philosophy to explain it, or a religion to save us.
Whether scientists, theologians, philosophers, or laypersons, we “see” through our ideas.
The truth about the "reach" of our very understanding of REALITY is that each and every advancement has come about after we discovered what has ALWAYS BEEN TRUE, and waiting for us to discover it....our progress is based on SELF-DISCOVERY of what ALREADY IS....TRUE !!
...even when the tightly held ideas WE THOUGHT WERE TRUE were REALLY based on false information and dogma, WHICH virtually everyone believed, transmitted, and acted upon AS IF TRUE .....that is, until others, following their OWN ideas came along, who had quantifiable, repeatable, verifiable evidence based on a DIFFERENT set of ideas that turned the paradigm of established scientific or religious consensus on its head !!
Yes, yes ! That's all well and good, but WHERE IS THE ITCH....and HOW CAN I SCRATCH IT ??
The itch to KNOW AND the ANSWER is in the same place as THAT which drove you to ASK THIS QUESTION !! The question AND the answer are in the same place.....within YOU !!
You ALREADY KNOW what the answer is.....beforehand.
You may legitimately ask, How can THAT be ?? "Why would I ask anything OR seek anything if I already know the answer to it beforehand?"
Because .....the knowledge we seek PRECEDES our need…..exactly like the availability of air (answers) precedes our need to breathe it (questions)….
…..or we would not even be ABLE to recognize the answer (breathe), at all.
We've been erroneously taught that when an answer to our question is not immediately apparent to us, we must seek it somewhere else or from someone else.
However, what we are NOT usually taught (and which we must learn to practice) is that when we receive our answer from somewhere else or from someone else....our recognition of it AS the answer is because it existed ALL THE TIME even BEFORE it was bought to our awareness.
2+2=4,....even BEFORE you compute it !! In the same way, ALL Principles of Life are True, Perfect, and Immutable....BEFORE you are even ABLE to know them or utilize them.....
Do you see ? If the answer were not ALREADY true, and truly within YOU.....you would not be ABLE to recognize (RE - cognize) the Truth of it AS the answer !!
In this manner, we can discover an even more astonishing Truth awaiting our recognition (RE - cognition) of it....within:
"Perfection does not come from projecting our own ideas but from awakening to the knowledge that it is already the established order of things.", as indicated in the reference.
Don't believe me ?? Try MAKING 2+2=5. Doesn't work, does it? We cannot even MAKE 2+2=4.
2+2=4, perfectly, truthfully, and immutably, whether you sum the equation correctly or NOT !
WHY ??
Because neither Truth NOR Perfection can change OR be changed. ALL the principles of Life operate that way, perfectly, without variation, deviation, or attenuation for anyone, at anytime, anywhere !! We can ONLY accept its perfect operation, because we cannot change Truth.
If Perfection is ALREADY the established order of things, AND is PLAINLY EVIDENT IN ALL THE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE, WHY HAVEN'T WE KNOWN THIS ??
BECAUSE WE ALL are free to choose to believe that 2+2=5 for ETERNITY until we have acquired FOR OURSELVES the necessary knowledge of the immutable principle that correctly sums the answer.
The same Source Who created perfect principles of mathematics which operate undeviatingly to create ONLY 4 as the answer to 2+2, ALSO CREATED US out of perfect principles.
Our Creator created human beings, AS HIS VERY SPIRIT AND IMAGE. We are Who the Creator is in Spirit....not subservient adherents to whatever religion or philosophy we profess to include ourselves or exclude one another from or fight over.
We must RE-awaken to the Truth that OUR OWN PERFECTION is already the established order of things....and act accordingly. Perfection, Itself created US perfectly.....though most of us have yet to appreciate the awesome majesty of our created state. But we are learning.....
What does Perfection have to do with seeking the beginning of philosophy ??
Do you see? OUR OWN ignorance of the unchangeable, eternal Truth of ourselves (that we are perfectly created) ACTS PRECISELY like ignorance of the perfect operation of a mathematical equation ALWAYS and INVARIABLY produces incorrect results. There is an inescapable consequence to this perception, which is, simply, that you remain in error (in ignorance) of the truth, until you realize it AND act accordingly with it.
IGNORANCE OF THE TRUTH IS THE ITCH that begins the scientific, religious, or philosophical search to find the SCRATCH !!
Whether you KNOW or DO NOT KNOW that you are in error, and continue to proceed erroneously, anyway, the correct answer (Truth) is not in the slightest bit affected.....
BUT.....the solution can only be experienced when we recognize AND apply the Truth to ourselves or to the equation.....PERSONALLY !!

Prove these things to yourself. Put them to YOUR TEST.
There is absolutely no need to be confused. One need go NO WHERE but within ONE'S SELF to be taught the truth by the Creator Himself, directly. How else can you then say FOR YOURSELF what is or what is not?
If you KNOW what is true, you will be able to SEE what is false AND what is true.
If you believe what is false, you will only SEE what is false.
Gain the KNOW-ledge for yourself....and the "point" proves or disproves itself irrefutably within YOUR OWN experience....
THAT IS HOW YOU SCRATCH THE ITCH.....
....that caused you to seek the beginning of philosophy, WITH THIS QUESTION....in the FIRST PLACE !!
