Treadmill for me every time! I run two or three times a week, sometimes every other day. As well as having a fear or dogs, especially ones that aren't on a lead (why is it they make a beeline for you!) I live in a remote village that is surrounded by quiet country lanes and I just don't feel it's safe for me to run out alone.
