For years I did custom cabinet installations. Many times I did them for remodel and new Custom home construction. One of these remodels was an older 2 story empty apartment turned condo. I began with the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. When completed I only had three cabinets left to do in the upstairs master bath. The entrance to the master was a double door and since it was late in the afternoon I carried the three cabinets up the stairs and staged them on the landing before starting. With the heavy lifting done I looked forward to knocking them out and getting home. As soon as I opened the door and entered the room my entire body and being went on alert. Let me be clear. I am not one that spooks easily and well understand how dwelling on something can play games with your mind. You can literally trick yourself into thinking there's something there that isn't. This was nothing like that. The room was completely empty and had plenty of natural daylight. What I knew right away though was something was there...and didn't like being bothered. It bordered on malevolent. The bath was to my right and I quickly move into it and closed the door behind me. The feeling went away immediately. I decided then to speak to the master bedroom and opening the bathroom door (the presence was very strong) I explained what I was doing and promised to go about it as quickly as I could. The presence was always there when a door to the room was open. When I closed the doors behind me between the master bedroom it did not follow. Having completed my job I apologized for the intrusion and went downstairs to do a final inspection of my work and loaded my tools in my trailer. Nowhere else in the Condo did I feel this presence. To this day I don't have a clue what it may have been.
Have any others out there had similar experiences and do you have any input as to what or who it could have been?
