The problem of modern Buddhism is that there is only a teaching left, but there are practically no people who have achieved what is described in his teaching (maha nirvana).
And in the Buddha's teaching there are four kinds of practitioners:
The first. They are those who only meet with the buddha almost immediately reach liberation and enlightenment. To these disciples were the two closest disciples of Buddha Magamoghalan and Sariputta. They had practiced yoga for several years before, but nothing substantial had been achieved, but only after meeting Buddha for one week Mahamaggalana and for two Sariputta reached the level of the Arhat. Not returning again.
Believe it is extremely difficult. Everything depends on the power of the master.

Second. Those who first meet Buddha disciples practice for a while, and then reach the Arhat.

Thirdly. These are those who practice a significant part of their lives and at the time of death destroy worldly desires and achieve liberation.

The fourth ones are those who can only study the doctrine and preach it. can not achieve liberation, for the reason that in this world there are no teachers who have reached such a high level, capable of leading pupils to this level ..

And now the age .. when Buddhism remains only a teaching, but there are no teachers capable of leading to the achievement of liberation.
Partly this is due to the fact that in 1953 China attacked Tibet and shot several thousand lamas and reached liberation.
Therefore, we can safely say now that modern Tibetan Buddhism is buried.
