Everything on the other side is already planned out before we're born from who we date to our families, our friends to our enemies and so on. the movies/books "What dreams may come" and "cloud atlas" pretty much explain the whole thing but we are connected to everyone we know, they are considered our soul groups/soul mates. we even plan when we die on the other side, except for suicide, which one will have to make up for on the other side or in their next life. the whole idea is to advance one's soul and the people we know teach us the lessons we need to know to reach a higher consciousness
