Theres no such thing as normal ! Self preservation, feeling numb to protect yourself from further hurt shock or trauma. Honor your feelings and dont feel like you have to feel anything. Do what you need to do to look after yourself. Self care and give things time. Numb/nothingness can make you feel dead inside or broken. Like your heart has just up and left...gone awol. But its part of the human experience so you just have to roll with it. Does it change? I dont know
