to dissolve the illusion around you. self awareness is the ego. being aware of the self in an illusion, the material reality. minus the self and you have god awareness. i dont think you can get rid of ego completely wile having a body. i suppose you would just separate from the body.

i guess i would say that reaching god is reaching enlightenment.
