Brandon... I'm wondering if you had an NDE but don't recall it. Your sense of feeling unmotivated and longing to die is well known among near death experiencers, especially those who don't remember what happened while they were 'out'.
There are many books on this subject, and the website for Near Death Research Foundation has a wealth of information and stories. http://NDERF.net
My suggestion is to explore there. If my hunch is true, understanding what changed you so drastically can help very much.
