Hello, something that helped me feel more connected to my higher self was writing in a journal. At first I got to connect with other sides of my ego.
But after some time, I began to connect with an older part of myself which is very understanding and reassuring and caring. And I also began to answer myself in my mind, using the same type of reassuring tone, which is unlike me. As I stress out a lot sometimes.
But yes, writing about things helps to see the different sides :)
And also, what you wrote about the comforting voice sounds like your higher self. It is looking out for you and wants to be there for you.
