the pink slippers are something that you might lounge around in at or near
to bedtime. the entire dream episode appears to be a "what-if" imaginary
scenario that you might dream up while at your leisure.
at one point you were tasked with placing bets, for your dad, but later on
you were reluctant to "take a chance" with what bus you were taking...
which may be reflecting on a life lesson you've learned (not to rely on
chance to get you where you're wanting to go).
