The OP is from January and no update so we may never know how things have gone.
I'm not diagnosing just to be clear. What you say about drug / alc / abuse might be elements but that doesn't negate the possibility of negative spirits being involved as well. I think someone who has issues are in that state where they might be open to evil spirit influences.
To me, just because our society teaches, for the most part, that spirits don't exist doesn't make it fact. I see now reason to apologize and compromise my beliefs and experiences because it goes against the modern day position.
