I would advise not to try to speak to the dead.
E.V.P you open yourself up to anything to come threw just like a spirit board. Not the device but yourself.
Just cause nothing happens now don't mean nothing is there.
It took yrs to rid our family from the negative beings that my mom real father and step father brought to my family.
To this day still smudging and using salt because my mom still around.
Things ghost/spirits and even demons can make you think it is your friend.
