A Visit From My Mom...

no5bones, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Back in August of 2001, I was by my mother's bedside when she took her last breath. She had lived a long life, and, thankfully, her passing was very peaceful.

About three days after her death, my wife and I were in our backyard feeling kind of mopey. All of a sudden, my mother's "spirit" (or whatever) appeared to me and said something like "Don't worry about me. I'm in a good place. No go ahead and get on with your life."

The experience was undeniable, and my wife felt her presence too. I have not been "visited" by my mom since that time, and I have no reason to expect anything more will happen.

Regardless of what happens, I have found that the love that we experienced with those who are and have been dear to us lives on. It lives in our hearts and minds, and one of the ways that we can honor those loved ones is to be true to ourselves and true to the kind of people they were.

I hope this help a bit, and I wish you well!
